My First Blog Post

Hi, my name is Adele. Thank you for visiting my blog. I will be posting an interesting story every week.

My dad has a fishing camp in the swamp. We went to visit on Tuesday. On the way back we saw a man in a canoe. The canoe was piled high with stuff and on top of it all was a bicycle. We stopped and talked to him.  He said he started from Wetumpka, Alabama on August 27th. That is about 150 miles away. He had been paddling for almost seven months on the Alabama River. He had his bicycle so that he could go to the grocery store when he had a chance. He said he had just finished working at Hurricane Landing for a while to make some money. He looked like a homeless man. My dad asked him where he slept and he said "I sleep on other people's camps." My dad said he could sleep in our camp. He slept on our deck.

Here is a picture of our fishing camp when the water is really high.

  5. Adele, that's really cool about the man in the canoe. I bet he gets pretty lonesome sometimes. Fisher, Maddie and Bobby Reid are wanting to go to the swamp camp to spend the night. Maybe we can all go up there next Friday and camp out.
