When I was on spring break I went to Disney World. I stayed at Fort Wilderness in a cabin. Fort Wilderness is a ton better than a hotel because we could go to the beach to watch fireworks, ride our own bikes, and play outside. At Disney World we went to Mickeys Bar-b-Que, played on the beach, collected Disney store pins, rode on the monorail, and even rode on rides.
When I went to Disney World we visited the Magic Kingdom first. The Magic Kingdom has lots of rides. I liked Buzz Lightyear. It makes your clothes glow if you have a light color and you get to shoot things with a little gun attached to the car and you get points if you hit something. There is also a ride called It's A Small World, but don't go in the day, go right when you get through the gates of Magic Kingdom. It is very crowded during the day. My sister's favorite ride is Barn Stormer. You get in a plane and you go really fast but not for long. I really really really liked Splash Mountain, but be prepared - you go down a big hill and you go under a thorn bush (fake thorns) and get really wet. There also was Pirates of the Caribbean which is really fun too, and Haunted Mansion. Well, that's all I really really liked, but there are a lot more fun rides that you might enjoy. Hope you have fun at Magic Kingdom.
We also went to Epcot. Epcot is really big. There are a lot of rides there too. My whole family liked Test Track. It was really fun. You were in this car that goes 65 mph - that's really fast! My 2nd favorite is Soarin'. That's really fun too. You're in a hang glider and it lifts you up in the air. It's like your in the I MAX and the hang glider brings you to all different places (it doesn't really take you everywhere for real) like Alaska and Russia. I also liked Ellen's Energy. You see dinosaurs and listen to Ellen's story. They also have different countries with restaurants, and there are rides in side. There is a lot more fun rides that are really fun too. Have fun!!!!
We loved Hollywood Studios. It is small but really fun. I really liked Tower of Terror, you are in this elevator with about 10 other people, so you get in the elevator and you put on your seat belt and you drop 3 times and you can see the sign when your at the top. It feels like you drop 5 floors but its really 12 floors. My brother and my dad went on Rockin' Roller coaster they said it was really really fast. My favorite thing to do there is American idol, you go in side and sit in some chairs and people come out and sing and you have to vote who was the best and who ever wins goes to the finals. There's also a big hat in the middle of Hollywood studios. You can get more Disney store pins, Disney hats, and Disney characters toys. There's also a group of people who come and sing for you. That's Hollywood Studios.
My favorite was Animal Kingdom. Animal Kingdom was huge it had all sorts of rides. My favorite ride was Cali River Rapids. You get soaked because you go down this waterfall and when you land your raft is surrounded by water and then the water splashes into your raft, then the rest of the is calm. I also really liked the safari. You get to see all kinds of animals like rhinos, hippos, giraffes, zebras, and lions. There's also a interesting zoo. I also really liked the lion king show. That's Animal Kingdom.

Camp Key
My grandmothers house is called Camp Key. It's called Camp Key because there are always a lot of people there. People are there for lunch, dinner, and breakfast especially in the summer. My grandmother had 7 children. All of my aunts and uncles live in Point Clear but 3. We go over there almost every single weekend. It's really fun because I always have my cousins there.
At Camp Key you can do all sorts of stuff, just like camp. You can go swimming in the bay, eat Popsicles, do fireworks, play with the bunnies, play croquet, dress up in dress-up clothes, and even go sail boating. My grandmother has really good food. My grandmother's house is like a farm of people.
Here is Camp Key's wharf.

Rackrent
One of my favorite places to go is to my hunting camp, Rackrent. It is in Mississippi. All of my dads side always goes there for Thanksgiving. We get to see all our cousins. I have 10 first cousins. Sometimes we go for my birthday. Rackrent has a big forest of bamboo. We love finding treasure in it such as old bottles. Sometimes we go to Sanders, a country store, to get candy. On our way there we always pass a little ditch and on the other side of the ditch is a mean bulldog that chases after us.
One time when we went to Rackrent for my birthday we invited some of our friends and neighbors. It was so much fun! On my b-day I got a i-touch, glow-in-the-dark basketball, ankle socks, hair bands, and Clue the game. Also, I learned how to drive the four-wheeler. I learned how to drive the four-wheeler from my dad. It was actually pretty easy. I rode my friend Eleanor around a lot she said "I go too fast". I have almost run into a lot of stuff, but on the last day I heard something like a chain dragging behind the four-wheeler, so I reached over to try to get it. I couldn't reach it. I looked back up and bamm! I ran into a car. I was afraid to tell my dad, but I did. I had to get consequences, so my dad told me I couldn't drive it in till next time we come to Rackrent.

Sick Raccoons
A couple of weeks ago we had some sick raccoons in our neighborhood, but then we found out that they were all over town.We have a ton of raccoons in our neighborhood and sometimes we have to be careful at night because we do not want to come across one.
One morning my dog copper got out of her collar and we had to put a bow around her neck. My brother Albert was walking Copper and the bow snapped right off of her. So we had to run after her and she is fast so we ran after her. She went by the ditch and found a raccoon. We heard her barking and me and Albert were down there before our parents. We saw Copper barking at a sick raccoon. Albert and I knew to stay back, so we did. When our parents came down they stayed away too. My dad grabbed a stick and tried to get Copper to get the stick. We finally got her though. She could have gotten really sick.

My Dog
I have miniature dachshund (also known as a wiener dog) and her name is Copper. Dachshunds are short- legged, long bodied dogs. They are made to flush out badgers and other burrow-dwelling animals. The word "dachshund" is German and literally means "badger hound".
My dog Copper loves to play around all day long. She also chews off all of her collars. Copper loves to go in rabbit holes, too. My grandparents have a lot of rabbits and they sometimes keep them in her chicken coop, but the bunnies dug holes in the dirt floor. Copper went in the holes and tried to get the bunnies, but she never got one, and I'm glad she didn't. It took for ever to get Copper out of the bunny holes, and she was doing what she was made to do.
Here is a picture of Copper.

My First Blog Post
Hi, my name is Adele. Thank you for visiting my blog. I will be posting an interesting story every week.
My dad has a fishing camp in the swamp. We went to visit on Tuesday. On the way back we saw a man in a canoe. The canoe was piled high with stuff and on top of it all was a bicycle. We stopped and talked to him. He said he started from Wetumpka, Alabama on August 27th. That is about 150 miles away. He had been paddling for almost seven months on the Alabama River. He had his bicycle so that he could go to the grocery store when he had a chance. He said he had just finished working at Hurricane Landing for a while to make some money. He looked like a homeless man. My dad asked him where he slept and he said "I sleep on other people's camps." My dad said he could sleep in our camp. He slept on our deck.
